Food Talk: Seasoning

My teachers and all through my career I was told the difference between a cook and a chef, is the ability to season well. And paperwork...

Seasoning is a key part of being able to cook well, and some well placed salt and pepper can really turn the notch up on something that would have been bland. A few tips I like to give people, start by seasoning eggs and potatoes. Learn what it takes to make the potato or egg taste exactly how you want it every time. You'll quickly develop an eye for what amount of seasoning you'll need for things. There will always be some mess ups, over / under salted or too bland, too powerful, but you'll be happy you took the journey to learn and everyone you cook for will ask how you made something so simple so amazing.

Just some thoughts
