Game Dev: This stuff is a lot harder than I had imagined.
I really took for granted how much work it is to make even a crappy game. I'm currently working in Godot 4 and having some fun making a little platformer, but now I understand why tools like Mario Maker exist, haha.
It's definitely fun to flex my creative muscles, but I never expected it to be so hard to flip a sprite, or to make sure collisions are correct....
100% glad I didn't try unreal.
